C. Gray Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by White Funeral Home - Lakeville on Apr. 16, 2025.
C. Leo Gray age 95 of Lakeville, MN passed away on April 12, 2025. Leo was born on September 7, 1929 in Superior WI., to Stephen and Irene Gray. He spent his younger years in Superior, graduated from Cathedral High School, and received his bachelor's degree from Marquette University. Leo met the love of his life, Jean VanMassenhove, in high school and they were married on July 18, 1951 in Superior WI. The family lived in Minneapolis, Bloomington, and then settled in Lakeville in 1959.
Leo worked hard to provide for his family. For over 30 years, he was employed as the Controller for AVR, Inc. In addition, he prepared tax returns for several private clients. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors and working in the yard mowing grass, trimming trees and raking leaves. He and Jean spent a few summers travelling in their RV exploring the U.S. He had an interest in toy trucks and collected them for many years. In his later years, he spent much of his time reading and putting together jigsaw puzzles. And he was a big supporter of All Saints Catholic Church.
Leo is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Jean; daughter, Lori (Gray Bernard) Dally; son-in-law, Bob Bernard; siblings Mary Ellen (Bob) Hale, Thomas (Jvonne) Gray, Irene (George) Peck, And Vincent (Colena) Gray. He is survived by children Judy (Steve) Govern, Ron (Mikki) Gray, Diane (Mike) Malicki, Terry Gray, Tom (Jane) Gray, Gary (Annette) Gray, Colleen (Ron) Bush, and Kevin Gray; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 AM Wednesday April 23, 2025 with visitation starting at 10:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 19795 Holyoke Ave., Lakeville. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Donations preferred to All Saints Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
