C. Irene Plummer, age 88, of Orange City, FL, passed away on July 28, 2012 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Elkins, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Zollie Mae Higgins Adams and wife, for 61 years, of the late Edward G. Plummer Sr. A resident of Harford County for over 70 years, she retired after 30 years from Aberdeen Proving Ground. She married and raised her family in Churchville and growing up, she attended Post Road School and Aberdeen High School. She enjoyed traveling and visited every state in the U.S. except for Hawaii and Alaska. She currently lived in John Knox Retirement Village in Florida where she was active in various community groups which included Vespers, the Wii bowling team and attending social events. Mrs. Plummer is survived by her sons, Edward G. Plummer Jr. and his wife, Margaret Carol, of Deland, FL and Blaine Plummer and his wife, Kathy, of Bel Air, MD; and four grandchildren, Michael E. Plummer of Seattle, WA, Krissy Turner and husband, Scott, of Sierra Vista, AZ, Mark E. Plummer of Dallas, TX and Melissa K. Plummer of Belcamp, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Herman and William Adams. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene Plummer's honor may be sent to Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, Attn: Senator Bob Hooper House, 520 Upper Chesapeake Drive, Suite 405, Bel Air, MD 21014.
