Caleb "Chacho" Bernard

Caleb "Chacho" Bernard, 29, apprentice carpenter, died Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Friday, March 14, 2025, at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Chacho will be remembered for his electric personality. Anywhere he went he turned a stranger into a friend. He loved his job and his co-workers. He was proud to be a member of local 315 and was well on his way to achieving journeyman status and completing his apprenticeship as a carpenter. Caleb was an avid hockey player and snowboarder and loved to cook and smoke meats. Most importantly, Chacho was a great son, brother, uncle and friend.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Tony Gomez, Leonard and Norma Bernard.
Survived by his father and companion, Jock Bernard and Misty King of Overland Park, KS; mother and stepfather, Mary Ann and Conrad Agustin; brother, Brian (Kelsey) Bernard; stepbrothers, Sam and Pete Agustin; nephews, Jalen and Kai'son Bernard; nieces, Aria and Halia Bernard, all of Wichita; grandmother, Raquel Gomez of Halstead, KS; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
