Calvin Lee Brunckhorst (Lee), 73, of Big Timber, formerly of Absarokee, was born June 29, 1951, in Billings, Montana, to Calvin and Anna Brunckhorst. Lee peacefully went to his Lord and Savior on February 13, 2025, surrounded by his family and friends at home.
Lee's younger years were spent in the Absarokee and Fishtail area. Raised on the family ranch, on Grove Creek, Lee graduated from Absarokee High School and went on to graduate from MSU in Bozeman.
Lee served his community for more than 20 years in the Absarokee Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Service. For more than 10 years, Lee taught Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks Hunter Safety. Moving to Big Timber, Lee continued to serve his community through the Big Timber Community Food Bank, was involved in Montana on a Mission, Homeward Bound, and would offer a helping hand to his neighbors in need.

Lee traveled to Alaska, Canada and throughout the United States. Lee not only traveled and learned, he read and studied. Lee has a well used and loved library of maps.
Lee is survived by his loving wife Linda, sister-in-law Barbara Selk of Big Timber. Son; Bill (Mandi) grandchildren Kylee and Ryan, of Laurel. Daughters; Amanda Cureton (Jason) grandson Ben of Georgia. Allison Mizner (Scott) grandchildren Drew and Alex of Bozeman.
