Calvin Richard Johnson, 80, of Big Pool, MD., passed away, Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD.
Born Monday, June 14, 1943, in Pecktonville, MD., he was the son of the late Ray Elmo and Hazel Nevada Pierce Johnson, and the husband of Somwang Johnson.
He was a graduate of Clear Spring High School.
He was employed at Martin Marietta Materials, Boonsboro, MD., for over 40 years.
He enjoyed flea markets, auctions, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family,
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Praphawadee Mongold, and husband Christopher, Ranson, WV., and Sasiwimon Bishop, and husband Robert, Delanco, NJ; one son, Stillwell Johnson, Big Pool, MD., two grandchildren, Andrea Bishop and Phillip Bishop; and three brothers, Barry, Otis and Vernon Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Johnson and one son, Prasert Sakhonwasee.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 18, 2024, 10 am – 12 pm, at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main St. Hancock, MD., followed by funeral services at 12:00 pm at the funeral home, and burial at the Parkhead Cemetery, Big Pool, MD. Pastor Jean Squires will officiate.
