Calvin Lee Pathkiller, 67, passed away on October 9, 2024. He was born on December 28, 1956, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to Mickey and Aline (Crittenden) Pathkiller. Calvin met the love of his life, Mary, in his junior year of high school, and they got married after graduation in September 1975.
Calvin was kind and outgoing. He enjoyed meeting and visiting with others. Calvin was also strong in his Christian faith and served as the pastor at Crittenden Baptist Church since 2005. Calvin and Mary took yearly mission trips to the reservations in South Dakota to deliver 900-1200 gifts to the children.
Calvin worked for Gates Rubber Company, which he retired from after 40 years. He was the president of the Gates Riding Club and sponsored horse rides for the annual Gates Picnic. Calvin loved riding his horses in parades, trail rides, and grand entries in rodeos.
Calvin enjoyed being outside camping and fishing. He also enjoyed coaching softball and baseball teams for his children's teams when they were younger. But most of all, Calvin loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ricky Pathkiller and Ronnie Pathkiller; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence and Betty Woods.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Pathkiller of the home; son, Scott Pathkiller and wife Sheena of Colcord, Oklahoma; daughter, Charlotte Pathkiller-Grimmett and husband George of Watts, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Preston Pathkiller, Kelby Pathkiller, Colton Pathkiller, Camryn Grimmett, Gavin Grimmett, Caleb Grimmett, Cody Doyle, and Tanisha Miller; great-grandchildren, Conner Pathkiller, Raelynn Pathkiller, Oaklynn Doyle, Tripp Miller, Triton Miller, and Taiven Miller.
A visitation will be held at Wasson Funeral Home on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
