With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Cameron Aaron Reid, who left this world too soon on March 8, 2025, at the age of 18.
Born on October 5, 2006, Cameron was guided by an independent spirit, unquenchable thirst for adventure and lived life on his own terms. He was fearless in pursuing his dreams, always seeking new experiences and embracing life with open arms. His greatest successes always came in the wake of his greatest challenges. Whether it was personal development or his mechanical abilities, he faced the challenges and became a stronger version of himself. Recently, Cameron had chosen his next adventure in pursuing an education at TCAT in Fall 2025 for Diesel Technician.
Cameron had a heart full of kindness and a mind filled with curiosity. Whether he was exploring the world around him, pushing boundaries, or forging his own path, he did so with passion and determination. He never shied away from a challenge, and his adventurous soul brought experiences to him which shaped him into the man he was becoming. His laughter, energy, and unwavering sense of self will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his parents Aaron Reid and Lisa Hodge; grandparents, Joel and Wanda Reid, Gary and Helen Smith; his best friend Triston Howell and the Howell family, who will forever cherish the memories of his boundless enthusiasm and fearless heart.
Though his journey was far too short, Cameron lived more in his 18 years than many do in a lifetime.
A celebration of Cameron's life will be at a later date to be announced, where family and friends can come together to honor the incredible person he was, in a manner he would want.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UT Medical Center for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to Cameron and family.
Cameron, your spirit will always soar, and your legacy will forever inspire.
