With our shattered hearts we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Cameron Pete Salcido on the early morning of October 31, 2024. Cameron was born July 9th, 2008 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Patrick Salcido and Maria Young.
Cameron was a junior at King High School, where one of his interests was his culinary arts class. During his freshman year with King High School, Cameron played on the Junior Varsity football team as a safety, he also tried his hand with the JV basketball and baseball teams. Cameron attended Veteran's Memorial during his sophomore year and made numerous friends, but his compassion was at King High School, where he longed for his friends that he grew up with and returned for his junior year.
Cameron was a charismatic person with an infectious smile. He was compassionate, easy to get along with and he loved people, he loved to joke around and act silly. He had a creative mind and had so many dreams of what he was going to do with his life. Cameron cherished his friends; they were his stability in his life. He loved his job with Quick Quack Car Wash and was learning how to drive. He was very enthusiastic about starting driver's education in December. During his summer breaks, he loved to travel to Carlsbad, New Mexico for the fourth of July and to spend time with his Great Grandma Lee and visit other family members.
Cameron is preceded in death by his Stepsister Neveyah Laine Reyes, Aunt Jamie Hatmaker, Aunt Lorena Burton, Great Grandpa Pete Salcido and Great Grandma Theresa Salcido. Great Grandparents Marry and Fidel Guerrero and Great Grandparents Paul and Alice Young.
Cameron is survived by his mother Maria and stepfather Brian Villarreal, father Patrick Salcido and stepmother Deanna Lopez, sisters: Madison, Emerie, Mia, Jamie and Andi Villarreal, brothers: Julian and Samuel Salcido, his Grandparents: Richard and Martha Salcido, Brian and Alicia Jones, and Great Grandma Elidia Salcido. Uncles: Sean and Michael Young, Hal Hatmaker and Ylario Flaco Jr. Aunts: Samantha Flaco and Ricca Salcido. Cousins: Sean Young Jr, Madison Flaco and numerous other cousins, his best friends Brian Perez, Elijah Abeto, and all his many other cherished friends.
Having the distinguished honor to serve as Cameron's pallbearers are Hal Hatmaker Jr, Sean Young Sr. and Sean Young Jr., Michael Young, Adrian Flaco and Brian Perez. Honorary Pallbearers are Ivan Flores, Christian Flaco.
A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:30pm on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7pm that same evening. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
