Cameron Shaffer

Cameron Shaffer, 18, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at home. He was born on August 14, 2004 in Johnson City, NY, the son of Howard Shaffer Jr. and Nichole Stanton.
Cam was a 2022 graduate of Downsville Central School, Downsville, NY. He had attended Boces for carpentry and was learning how to weld. Cam was a caring person who always had a smile on his face. He often did things for other people, even if they didn't deserve it! Cam enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing basketball and he always dreamed of being a bull rider. He loved driving and always wanted to go for a ride, but most of all, he loved his time spent with his cousins and he held his family very close to his heart. Cam also loved his dog, Roscoe.
Surviving are his parents; Billy and Nicole Shaffer, and Nichole Stanton; 2 sisters, Maisyn Thomson and Payton Shaffer; maternal grandparents, Gary and Patty Stanton; paternal grandfather, Howard Shaffer Sr.; maternal great grandmother, Agnes Whitney; aunts: Jessica Thomson, Hope Buchanan, and Lisa Leonard; and many aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. Cam was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Carla Jean Morgan; maternal great grandfather, Ronald Whitney; and uncle, Morgan Shaffer.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Northern Wayne Fire Hall, 1663 Crosstown Hwy., Lakewood, PA, 18439, from 1PM-4PM. There will be a time of sharing at 2PM for anyone who would like to speak.
