Candace Gayle Runyan

Candace Gayle Shamblin Runyan, age 78, passed away on February 13, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida. She was born on July 29, 1947, in Welch, West Virginia, to Thurman Gale Shamblin and Kathleen Jeanette Sears Shamblin, who preceded her in death.

Candace was married to her loving husband, Jack Runyan, on December 28, 1974. She is also survived by her son, Richard Sanchez II.

Candace was a faithful member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She was baptized on March 22, 1984, and confirmed on June 2, 1984. She was dedicated to The Order of the Daughters of the King on February 20, 1985, and was also a member of The Order of Saint Luke. Her faith was an important part of her life.

Candace will be remembered for her love of family and her strong faith. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
