Carl Anderson, 65, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, December 22, 2006, at North Mississippi Medical Center - Iuka. He attended Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was presently employed at The Waterway, Inc. in Iuka. He was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard, the Iron Workers Union, and the Greater New Orleans Expressway. He enjoyed wood carving, playing golf, and spending time with his family. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 25, 2006, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Malcolm Garrett. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers include David Aldridge, William Aldridge, Jamie Enlow, Brian James, Jimmy Lovelace, Joseph Marlar, Billy Patrick, Jerry Wayne White, and Jimmy Whitfield. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Ann Anderson of Iuka, MS; 2 daughters – Ashley Holland of Iuka, MS, and Julie Harrison (Rick) of Woodworth, LA; and 2 grandchildren, Zachary and Sarah Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Elizabeth Anderson. Memorials may be made to The Gideons.
