Carl Edward Johnson Jr.

Carl Edward Johnson Jr, 55, departed this life Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at his sister's residence in Jolo, WV. Carl was born May 1, 1970, in Welch, WV, a son of the late Carl and Ocie Blevins Johnson.
Carl had many trades in his life including coal miner, heavy equipment operator, truck driver, and mechanic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Edna Payne and his brother Leonard Stiltner.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Shannon Johnson of Bristol, VA; Daughter, Kendra Ball and husband Nathen of Panther, WV; Stepdaughter, Danielle Velasques of Bristol, VA; Stepson, Freddy Velasques of Bristol, VA; Granddaughter, Polly Ball of Panther, WV; Grandson, Braiden Ball of Panther, WV; Sisters, Norma Marshall and fiancé Larry Kennedy of Jolo, WV and Mary Johnson of Bartley, WV; brothers, Denver Blevins of Winston Salem, NC, Jessie Johnson and wife Misty of Atwell, WV, and Walter Johnson and wife Diana of Newhall, WV; a special great nephew Shane Mullins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to his hospice nurse Kandi Toler, his employer Bizzack Construction and Paula Frizzell from Aflac.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday, January 1, 2026, after 6 o'clock pm at the Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 11 o'clock with Allen Adams and Roger Hale officiating at the Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV. Burial will follow in the Tom Sparks Cemetery in Paynesville, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
