Carl Kolb

Carl Leo Kolb, age 83, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the Manor Court in Rochelle with his family at his side. He was born on September 26, 1941 in Chicago, IL, the son of Herbert and Marie (Scheier) Kolb. He married Marijane Hook on June 14, 1969 in Chicago Heights, IL. Carl served his country in the United States Air Force. After serving in the military he attended Western Illinois University, earning his Bachelors degree in 1967 and Northern Illinois University where he earned his MBA in 1974. Prior to retiring, he worked as an insurance representative of State Farm. Carl loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He enjoyed attending Air Shows and was a member of the American Legion Post 403. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survived by his wife, Marijane of Rochelle, 3 children: Deborah Heise of Dublin, OH, Daniel Kolb of Rochelle, and Kenneth Kolb of Sycamore; 3 grandchildren: Travis Duncan, Kristina Duncan and Paige Heise; and his sister: Jeanne Kern of Carol Stream, IL.
