Carl Wayne Morton, born June 24, 1960, in Little Rock, AR, passed away on September 22, 2025, in Escondido, CA. He was the son of the late Capt. Bobby Jack Morton and Bernice Marie (Baker) Thompson.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Capt. Bobby Jack Morton; his stepmother, Wynell Morton; his brother, Robert Morton; and his son, Patrick William Morton.
He is survived by his loving mother, Marie Thompson of Escondido, CA; his brother David Morton and wife Sheri Morton of Oceanside, CA; his daughters Summer Quillin and husband Nathan Quillin of Newport News, VA, and Carly Brown and husband Joshua Brown of Yorktown, VA; and his cherished grandchildren, Christian Harris, Alena and Lucius Davis, Letty and Jaxxon Brown, and Rhyatt, Oakleigh, and Moxen Quillin.
Carl will be remembered for his good heart, his generosity, and his unwavering love for his family. He was a devoted father, a caring son, a loyal brother, and the best ‘Papaw’ to his grandchildren. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
