Carl Rapport Obituary

Carl was born Dec. 31, 1960, at Union Hospital in Dover, the son of the late Michael and Miriam Sherman Rapport of New Philadelphia. He was a 1979 graduate of New Philadelphia High School and later graduated from The Ohio State University, where he earned a degree studying economics and philosophy.
Carl was a deep thinker and a deeply devoted9 father, brother, and uncle. He was a very good man, a true mensch, and loved his family and friends very much. And they him in return.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Josh, in 1979.
Carl is survived by his children, Jacob Rapport of Columbus and Emily Rapport of Chicago; his sister, Beth (Jack) Angelotta of Cleveland; brother, Marc (Mia) Rapport of Columbia, S.C.; his loving nieces and nephews; his extended family of beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins; the mother of his children, Nancy Shapiro Rapport, and a circle of loyal, longtime friends.
The family wishes to especially extend our thanks to Carl's devoted friend Scott McIntire, and to our cousin Sarah Cohen Jaffy, who were both there for him always.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, April 28 at Temple Israel, 3100 E Broad Street in Columbus with Rabbi Sharon Mars officiating. A shiva meal will follow service at the home of Sarah Jaffy.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a cause of your choice.
