The good Lord called home his faithful servant, Carl Ray McHenry on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the age of 80 years old in Slidell, Louisiana. Bro. Carl had his Masters in Theology, where he used his degree and knowledge of the word of God to pastor numerous churches in Alabama, Louisiana, and Arkansas. He was a former pastor and faithful member of Pearl Hickory Baptist Church in Pearl River, Louisiana. He is now walking the streets of gold and reunited with his wife Sondra Kay McHenry, his parents Claude and Bernice McHenry, and his son in law Patrick Callahan Sr. His legacy will be carried on by his loved ones he is survived by including his children Kenneth McHenry (Melissa) of Hodges, Al., and Lori Callahan Smith (Ricky) of Pearl River, LA., his siblings Evelyn Stanton of Slidell, LA., Larry McHenry (Gwen) of Slidell, LA., and Betty Standifer (Dan) of Duncan, Ok., grandchildren; Patrick Callahan (Sarah), Samuel Callahan (Ashley), Garrett McHenry (Callen), and Abigail Jones (Bradley), great greatgrandchildren; Michelle Kirkam, Kacen McHenry, Henry Callahan, Thomas Callahan, Hadley McHenry, Elizabeth Callahan, Brentley McHenry, and Mack Jones, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In Celebration of his life, the family of Bro. Carl would like to invite everyone to attend visitation on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 12 pm to 2 pm with the funeral starting at 2 pm at Pearl Hickory Baptist Church in Pearl River, LA. Interment to follow at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Pearl River, La. Bro Patrick Callahan and Bro. Tommy Pittman Bro. Dan Standifer to be officiating.
