Steven McHenry

Steven McHenry, age 64, of Orrville, died Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Steven was born on November 22, 1960, in Orrville, Ohio, to the late Claude and Barbara (Nichols) McHenry. He graduated from Orrville High School in 1979, and served as a SP4 in the United States Army stationed in Germany. He married Donna Jeffrey on June 11, 1990, in Akron. Donna survives.
He worked as a control room operator for Orrville Power Plant for 25 + years, retiring in 2011.
Steven enjoyed going to concerts, taking trips to the beach, going on walks and drives, and was a huge animal lover.
Surviving in addition to Donna are three daughters, Danielle Custer of Salem, VA, Jennifer Headrick of Orrville, and Christina McKeown of Wooster; an honorary daughter, Angie Layfield of Wooster; seven grandchildren, Haillee Headrick, Chloee Walker, Destinee McKeown, Aidan Custer, Craig McKeown, Bentlee Jones, and Gracee Skelly; two great grandchildren, Abel Danner, and 1 great grandchild on the way;.
A graveside service with military rites will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 2:45 pm, with Pastor Tom Leford officiating. A procession to the cemetery will form at Auble Funeral Home at 2:00 pm, prior to the service.
