Carl Thomas Sims, 66, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
A Memorial service will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church in Henrietta with Rev. Aaron Logan, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.
Visitation will be Monday evening at Davis Funeral Home from 6-7 pm.
Carl was born on August 28, 1957 in Henrietta to Clyde "Buck" and Dorothy (Kelley) Sims. He was retired a loan officer having worked at Red River Federal Credit Union in Altus, Oklahoma and Union Square in Wichita Falls. He also worked as a finance manager at Four Star Auto Ranch in Henrietta, Texas. He married Mona (Brockman) on June 3, 2016 in Waurika, Oklahoma and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Henrietta. Carl was a bass player and musician for 40 years.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sue Brock and daughter Stephanie Parthun.
Survivors include his wife Mona Sims of Wichita Falls; two sons, Kyle Sims and wife Jennifer of Henrietta, and Keller Sims and wife Caitlyn of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter, Marissa Parthun of Henrietta; seven grandchildren, Kaidence Sims, Jaidyn Sims, Arianna Hall, Camron Waters, Nash Sims, Parker Sims and Cory Overton; brother, Kellye Sims and wife Mary of Dean, Texas; sister, Laura Hill and husband Eddie of Henrietta; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Southwest English Setter Rescue at 29560 Red Bull Hill, Boerne, Texas 78015 or the First United Methodist Church at 301 S. Bridge St. Henrietta, Texas 76365.
