I was a friend while we were at Keewaydin School through the sixth grade. Remember Carl's parents running the grocery store on 50th st., and the family living on the second floor.
Am happy that Carl had such a good life and was a joy to so many people. My sympathy to his family and good friend.

I grew up in the neighborhood and my friends and I would spend many hours at the DQ. It was a great place. Carl will be truly missed. I miss the neighborhood.

Sorry to hear of Carl's passing. Working at the DQ was one of my first jobs and learning work ethic from Carl shaped my life. He was pleasure to work for and always a good friend to me and all of our family growing up in the neighborhood. Our corner of the world was a better place because he was part of it.

I worked at Carl's DQ from 1973-1977. It literally paid for my U of MN degree. Carl was a wonderful boss, and his DQ was famous for being the CLEANIST in town!

My best friend, Lolly and I spent many hours of our childhood tormenting Carl by giggling non stop at his Dairy Queen. I remember him fondly and wish I could thank him for his kindness to us.

I grew up in that neighborhood and spen a lot of time in the DQ.
Carl let my buddies (ages 15-16) and I take his black 59 chevy home and wax it- that still is surprising to me.
I did some odd jobs around the DQ and have many fond memories about the great neighborhood in the early-mid 60's and Carl was one of them.
