Carl Stringer

GREENFIELD – Carl Lee Stringer, age 80, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at his home. He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on December 20, 1940 to James Leslie Stringer and Vivian Ruth (Lloyd) Stringer. On January 14, 1961, he married Euna Mae Slaven in Monticello, Kentucky.
He worked for Miller Veneer in Indianapolis, as a supervisor, for many years before retiring in 2007. He liked camping and traveling. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Euna Stringer of Greenfield; daughters, Sharon (Larry) Dishman of Moss Point, MS, Penny (Ransom) Covington of Indianapolis, Carla (Scott) Duncan of Indianapolis, Lisa (John) Richardson of New Castle, and Janet (Dave) Bolding of Greenfield; grandchildren, Amanda (Michael) Bradshaw of Morganton, NC, Angie (Tim) Wilson of Sylacauga, AL, Amy (Aaron) Brock of Hickory, NC, Alaina (Roland) Stegmeier of Lucedale, MS, Aaron (Erica) Dishman of Mobile, AL, Andrew (Emily) Dishman of Moss Point MS, Austin (Megan) Dishman of Moss Point, MS, Anthony (Morgan) Dishman of Sylacauga, AL, Darren (Abbie) Covington of Greensburg, IN, Diana (Chris) Brown of Franklin, IN, Olivia Covington of Greenfield, Jessie (Michael) Johnson of Indianapolis, Connor Vaughn of McKinney, TX, Savanna Duncan of Indianapolis, Sophie Duncan of Indianapolis, Alissa (Derek) Orr of New Castle, Jeremy (Karen) Richardson of Carmel, Jordan Richardson of Carmel, Donovan Bolding of Greenfield, and Blaine Bolding of Greenfield; great-grandchildren, Carter and Sawyer Bradshaw, Brayden, Brycen, Mason, Ellie, Charlotte and Caroline Wilson, Maggie, Andy and River Brock, Maverick and Rockwell Stegmeier, Ivy Dishman, Troy Pinson, Rosie, Ruby and Cash Lee Dishman, Jasper, Jace and John Walker Dishman, William Covington, Mallory and Ethan Brown, Charlie Ruth Johnson, Alana, Lilly, and Ella Orr, and Kinsie Jo and Maci Richardson; brother, William "Jack" (Dorothy) Stringer of Vero Beach, FL; and sister-in-law, Rosie Stringer of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth Stringer; and brother, James Stringer.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.
