Carl John Wiener, 89, of Mellen entered into his eternal life on Thursday, November 21st at Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center. He was born at home in Mellen on June 8, 1935, son of Louis and Rose (Windt) Wiener.

Carl will be greatly missed by his wife of 64 years, Murlene, 6 children, Paul (Lori) Wiener of Mellen, WI, Theresa (Steve) Ravanelli of Skandia, MI, Margaret (James) Jeffers of Butternut, WI, Carol Marita of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Donald (Melissa) Wiener of Mellen, WI, Kathryn (Todd) Brauer of Saxon WI, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, a brother Tom (Sue) of Rhinelander, WI and many nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christan Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, at the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mellen with Father Vijay Kumar Madani as celebrant. Visitation begins at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church and will continue until the hour of service. Interment at the Mellen Union Cemetery will follow the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Mellen and Ashland.
Carl liked this quote and kept it on the refrigerator: "My grandfather once told me that there are two kinds of people: those who work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was less competition there." - Indira Gandhi To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Carl, please visit our Tree Store.
