Carl Williams, age 91, of Clinton, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. He was born on January 11, 1934, in Anderson County, TN, to the late Dewey Dennis and Alta Mae Williams. He was a United States Army Veteran who had served during peacetime. Carl was a retired carpenter who had worked with Lynn Builders in Claxton. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Carl Dennis Williams; brothers, Johnny Williams and Lonnie Williams; sisters, Edna Mae Floyd and Bonnie West; brothers-in-law, Charles, Johnny, James, Richard, Sam, Joseph, and Tommy Brooks; and sister-in-law, Mary Ellis.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Jo Williams; son, Jimmy Ray Williams & wife Billie Jean; grandchildren, Justin, Jonathan, Jarrett, Lindsay, and Telia; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Daisy Mae Sharpe; brothers-in-law, Franklin and David Brooks; sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Brummett and Evelyn Carroll; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:30 am, Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. His graveside service will immediately follow at 11:00 am at Woodhaven Memorial Garden. Holley Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements. Holleygamble.com
