Carl Henry Wohlers

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Henry Wohlers on November 16, 2024, at the age of 73. Carl was born on February 27, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA to Henry and Evelyn Wohlers. Carl grew up in Grosse Point, MI., before moving to Hawaii where he graduated from the University of Hawaii. He went on to achieve his masters degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He worked for IBM in technical and sales roles for over 42 years. Carl was a man whose life was filled with love, laughter, and an unyielding zest for life. He would be the first to say the greatest of his many achievements was being married to the love of his life, Linda, for over 46 years. He was the proud father to his three children Michael, Melissa, and Stephen, and was the one and only Opa to his three grandchildren William, Catie, and Addy, teaching them how to love life. He was also uncle to his beloved niece, Kathy Taylor.Carl brought joy and love to everyone he met. He created lasting memories through his love and passion for traveling and experiencing new cultures, organizing incredible family vacations to Greece, Italy, Scotland, Israel, Hawaii, and Alaska to name a few. He loved watching his kids and grandkids play sports and cheering on his Yellow Jackets.He will live in our hearts forever.Survived by: Linda Wohlers (wife), Michael Wohlers (son), Melissa Wohlers (daughter), Stephen Wohlers (son), Kathy Tayor (niece), Jennifer Wohlers (daughter-in-law), William (grandson), Catie (granddaughter), Addy (granddaughter).Preceded to the Lord by: Evelyn Wohlers (mother), Henry Wohlers (father), Christine Taylor (sister)A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 25th at 1:00 PM at Cremation Society of the Carolinas on 2205 E. Millbrook Rd.
