Carla Good Strasner was born on Feb. 3, 1962 to Shirley and Kenneth Good in Anson TX. Carla has a twin sister, Darla, and two older brothers, David and Kenny. Carla spent most of her childhood in Gorman, TX, where her mother taught 4th grade for many years. Carla married Gary Jackson. They had two daughters together, Andrea and Jamie. In Oct. of 1989, Carla suffered a horrific car accident that impacted her for the rest of her life. She went on to marry Cliff Strasner and spent most of their marriage in the Midland/Odessa area. Carla was greatly affected by the death of her husband, and then the death of her mother a few years ago. Her daughters are grateful that she is reunited with them again, and free from the pain inflicted on her earthly body.
Carla was preceded in death by her mother and father, Shirley and Kenneth Good, her aunt Mary Sawyer, and her husband, Cliff Strasner.
Carla is survived by her two daughters, and their families. Son in law, Leslie Wood and daughter Andrea, and their children, DJ, Tristen, Jillian, and Aiden Wood.
Daughter Jamie, husband Clayton, and children Livy and Jacks. Sister Darla Good and husband Rick Ferrell. Brother David Good and wife Holly. Brother Kenny and wife Terri and lots of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Sister of the heart Sharlene Schahn and husband Pastor Barry, and Jacque Derksen of Melbourne Australia.
In lieu of flowers, her daughters would like donations to be made in her honor to the place near and dear to her grandchildren, and to honor her love of books, reading and education, the Bluff Dale School Library (Carla Memorial for Library). Carla will be buried in a private service but a celebration of life ceremony will take place at the First Baptist Church of Gorman with Pastor Barry Schahn officiating, November 3rd, at 11:00 am.
