Carla was born on May 16, 1946 in Pisa, Italy, a daughter of the late Franca DiSacco.
Carla is survived by her children, Scott Tanguay of Alys Beach, FL and Tanya Tanguay of Downer's Grove, IL and several siblings in the Dory and Meverden families, grandchildren, Amollia (Quincy) Proctor of Washington, IL and Narria Tanguay of Peoria, IL, three great-grandchildren, Alivia Walker and Eva and Ava Tanguay, her beloved dog, Mon-Cherie, as well as many family members in Italy.
Carla graduated from St. Norbert's College in De Pere, WI, with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Business. She went on to work in sales for 3M Company for many years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and enjoyed volunteering at Lutheran Social Services in Peoria, IL. She had a profound affection for animals and was passionate about Animal Rescue.
Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Fr. Greg Jozefiak will officiate. Cremation Rites have been accorded and a private Burial of Ashes will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Pet Pack Rescue Initiative, 169 Thunderbird Lane, East Peoria, IL 61611.
