Carlisle Walker Hulet, Summit, 92, passed away at his home, July 20, 2024 in Summit, Utah. Carlisle was born March 4, 1932, in Cedar City, Utah to Oscar Jones Hulet and Violet Walker. He married Leah Pauline Mathews on July 8, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Carlisle was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He loved his family and dedicated his life to providing for his family and to serving others. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in various ward and stake callings. He worked many years for the UDOT, and in 1975 he purchased a herd of sheep and for the rest of his adult life he devoted his life to improving his livestock operation; to make it profitable and to provide work opportunities for his family and grandchildren.
Carlisle is survived by his children, Diane (Rex) Orton of Georgetown, TX, Daniel C. Hulet of Summit, Donald M (Tammy) Hulet of Paragonah, Chad Hulet of Payson, David G. (Lori) Hulet of Summit, Marianne (John) Rex of Flower Mound, TX, and Allison (Chris) Beins of Deweyville, 27 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren, sister Majorie Evans, and sister in-law, Laurel Lunt Hulet. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Pauline, parents, in-laws, sister Dorothy Mickelson, brother Oscar Kent Hulet, daughter in-law Michelle Hulet, 4 great grandchildren, Andi Mae Orton, Callie Kay Hulet, Leah Ann Orton, and Lucas Reed Orton, and all of his brothers and sisters in-laws.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Summit LDS Ward building. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. and the morning of the service from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in the Summit Cemetery, under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. To view a livestream of the services and leave online condolences please visit www.mortuary.org.
