Carlos Sanchez, known affectionately by everyone who basked in his unmatchable energy, embarked on his ultimate adventure on October 27, 2025. His journey began in the humble town of La Mesa, TX, on June 8, 1964, and what a ride it was until his last curtain call in Dallas, TX.
Carlos was a man of many hats – quite literally. He had a head of hair that could make Samson jealous and the charm to match, which served him well as a successful model for the Kim Dawson agency. He struck poses for AT&T, Texas Tourism, Hasbro, Lowes, Frito-Lay, and myriads of others, making him the face you never knew you knew. But Carlos wasn't just a pretty face; oh no, he was a serial careerist. From slicing through life's hairy situations as a barber, navigating the cutthroat world of real estate, to managing the nuts and bolts of construction sites, Carlos did it all. And yes, he was also that friendly neighborhood loan officer who probably helped you buy that house with a smile that could disarm any suspicion of interest rates. When he wasn't shaping the world around him with his professional endeavors, you could find Carlos on the soccer field or owning the volleyball court, often with a competitive glint in his eye. This man was a ping-pong wizard, and if ping-pong were magic, he'd have been Merlin.
Carlos also enjoyed being the life of the party – the party's pulse matched his heartbeat, and the atmosphere became electric once the Witch Doctor entered the room. His pursuit of life was matched only by his pursuit of love, and let's just say, the latter was a marathon, not a sprint. With more charm in his pinky finger than Cupid in flight, Carlos was no stranger to beautiful women. His adventures in love were the stuff of legend, the kind that would make James Dean take notes. Carlos was a force of nature – adventurous, passionate, friendly, and hilarious. He was the kind of man who could tell you a story that would leave you with your sides splitting and your heart full. He was spiritual, not confined by the walls of religion, but by the vast expanse of the universe, where he now explores the greatest mystery of all. He was a self-proclaimed Culture Vulture, and the world was his playground.
His family, a constellation of stars that includes his mother Janie, father Manuel, his siblings Bonnie, Susan, Donna, Elena, Joe, and Johnny, his sons Carlos Lee and Jace, his grandchildren Devan, Ciao, Milania, Niavanna, and Onyx will celebrate the tale that was Carlos Sanchez as he joins his heavenly grand-daughter Luciana. He graduated from South Garland High School in '82, and whether he realized it or not, he graduated from life with honors, too.
To know Carlos was to laugh – at his wit, at his stories, and sometimes, even at his attempts at dancing. He left behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a reminder to enjoy every single moment as passionately as he did. His life was an open book, and each page was a comedy sketch that left us begging for more. Carlos Sanchez, the man, the myth, the legend, has left the building. But the echoes of his laughter will resonate in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to share a moment, a smile, or a wild night out with him. Rest assured, wherever he is now, the party has just started. In the words of Carlos Sanchez, "Don't take life so serious, K?".
