Carmen Peña Laubheimer, 90, of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Carmen was born in Brownsville, Texas, to the late Gennaro and Rosa Peña and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. She was devoted to her husband and family, spanning five generations. Known for her kindness, generosity, and deep biblical wisdom, Carmen touched every life she encountered.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Curtis Park Riddell; children, Richard Riddell, Cindy Scott, and Randy Riddell; great-grandson, Christopher Riddell; parents; and 10 siblings.
Carmen is survived by her husband, George Laubheimer; children, Danny Riddell, Donna Riddell, and Gwendolyn Kiper; step-daughter, Margaret Laubheimer; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gilbert Peña; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Carmen will be from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Tuesday, October 14 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Funeral service will be at 12:30 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery.
