Carmine J. Zulli, Jr., affectionately known as Carmine to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, at the age of 80, in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA. Born on December 20, 1944, Carmine was a life-long Philadelphian whose deep roots in the community were evident through his dedication to his family, his work, and his faith.
Carmine was the cherished husband of Clara M. Zulli (nee Nestor), with whom he shared 59 years of unwavering love and companionship. Together, they built a family founded on the principles of kindness, respect, and joy. He was a devoted father to Carmine J. (Sandra) Zulli, III and Carin (John Heins) Zulli-Heins. His role as a grandfather to Maya, Jason, Charles, Colin, and Regina was one of his greatest joys, and he embraced every moment with them with enthusiasm and pride. Also loving brother of Joseph (Isabel) and his sister, Cheryl.
Carmine was the beloved son of the late Carmine and Isabel (nee Milliken) Zulli and a loving brother to the late Francis, Charles, Anthony, and Michael. He was a man who valued family above all else, and his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. His legacy, however, will live on through the lives of those he touched.
Professionally, Carmine was known as a skilled plumber and a Jack of All Trades. His work was more than a job; it was a testament to his craftsmanship and his ability to solve problems with grace and ingenuity. He was well-regarded by his peers and clients alike, not only for his technical abilities but also for his integrity and reliability.
Carmine was a man of faith, and his Christian beliefs guided him throughout his life. He was an active member of his church, where he found solace, strength, and a sense of community. His faith was a beacon that illuminated his path and provided comfort to those around him during times of need.
His interests were as diverse as his skills. Carmine had a special place in his heart for his furbabies, Taz and Lizzy, who were loyal companions and a source of endless joy. He approached life with a sense of curiosity and a desire to learn, which made him an interesting conversationalist and a thoughtful friend.
Friends and family will remember Carmine as a man who could fix anything with his hands and heal hearts with his gentle spirit. He was the person you called when you needed advice, a laugh, or help with a home project. Carmine was the embodiment of the words interesting, thoughtful, and handy, and his presence made the world a brighter place for those who knew him.
