Carol was born June 2, 1938, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Daniel and Carolyn (Albertus) Friend. She married James Alexander on October 6, 1957, he preceded her in passing in 1998. Carol was a woman of Faith who loved her Lord Jesus. She was an active member of Fountain of Grace Assembly of God. Carol was a gifted seamstress who enjoyed sewing. She also possessed a talent for decorating. Carol loved to shop with family and friends and find great deals at rummage sales. When she was younger, Carol sang in the group "Southern Gospelaires" which ministered in several churches. Carol loved her family deeply and enjoyed all the wonderful times with them. Above all she was a great wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend who left a legacy of love and will be missed by many.
Surviving are: Children: Robin (Dean) Gardner, and Mike (Tanya) Alexander; Grandchildren: Heather Gardner, Michael Alexander, Tiffany Gardner, Taylor (Jake) Merrow, Meghan Juhl, and Ada Aldred; She was blessed with 6 great grandchildren; Brothers: Karl Friend, Andy (Judy) Friend; Several nieces and nephews, and best friend and sister-in-law, Jan Gregory. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Alexander; Grandson, Ryan Aldred; Brothers: Dick Friend and Chuck Friend.
