Our sweet loving mother Carol Ann Bennett was welcomed home, to be with our Heavenly Father on November 23rd, 2023 in Ogden, Utah surrounded by her family. Carol Ann was born on January 3, 1943 in Salt Lake City Utah to James Edwin and Annie Caroline Burbank.
 
Carol Ann graduated from Jordan High School in 1961, she attended college in California and the University of Utah. She then went on to pursue a career in electrical engineering.

Carol Ann met Boyd Nolan Bennett and they later married and were sealed on November 5, 1965 in the Salt Lake City temple. Together, they had 5 children: Julie Kim, Michelle Anne, Gaylen Boyd, Brandon Dayne, and Kendall Bryce Bennett. She also had 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren whom she cherished and loved dearly.

Carol Ann was a very passionate writer of poetry, a true artist. She loved the Utah mountains, horseback riding, camping, swimming, dancing and exploring especially with her family, friends and loved ones.


Christmas was one of her favorite times of year, where you could always find her sewing and crocheting Christmas presents, baking pies and making nativity scenes out of chocolate. She always wanted it to be a very special time of year for everyone she knew.

 

Carol Ann had the most beautiful blue eyes that would sparkle and brighten up any room. She was also a contestant in the Miss Utah for Miss Universe pageant. She had a tender heart and loved her family immensely she also has a special love for her animals. 2 dogs Silver, Shadow and cat Starlight.

She was survived by her sister Sherry Dickey, Brother James (Jim) Burbank. Her children, Julie K (Richard) Levander, Michelle A Bennett (Michael Marble), Gaylen B Bennett, Brandon D Bennett (Angie Childs) and Kendall B (Sara) Bennett.


She was preceded in death by her husband Boyd Nolan Bennett, mother Annie Caroline Burbank, granddaughter Krislen Dawn Bennett, brother Dennis Jay Burbank and father James Edwin Burbank.

 

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and  Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
