Passed away on Wednesday December 13, 2023 at the age of 81. Born August 24, 1942 to George and Muzetta (Cole) Wonsey in St. Louis, Michigan. Carol drove bus for Dean Transportation and later for CATA where she retired. Carol was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Lansing for many years where she and her husband, Harry raised their family. Carol enjoyed doing puzzles, crocheting and knitting. and loved watching old westerns. She loved flowers and maintaining her flower gardens at her home. Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her family and friends and she will be dearly missed by all who remember her. Preceding her in death were her husband, Harry Cassidy; brothers, George, Merritt, Arnold, Orville, Lowell Wonsey; sister, Lucille Behrend as well as her parents.
Surviving are her children, Carolyn (Scott) Foster, Louise Johnson, Tom (Tina) Cassidy, Dick Cassidy; grandchildren, Andy Foster, Tony (Emily) Foster, Chad Foster, T.J. (Fo) Foster, Crystal (Jeremy) Longstreet, Jennifer Johnson, Brad Johnson, Matt Johnson, Shawn Cassidy, Alan Kowalski, Christopher Kowalski, Dani (Chuck) Kapalla, Cassie (Savanna) Cassidy, Josh Chadester; 25 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Skinner Funeral Home Lansing Chapel. Family will receive family and friends on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home for visitation. To share memories and condolences please visit www.SkinnerFuneralHomes.com
