Carol Ann "Pinky" Collins

Carol Ann Collins was born on January 19, 1964 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center to the proud parents of Edward Lee Taylor and Beatrice Viola Taylor. She departed her life a very sad and unexpected death on May 15, 2025.
"Pinky," as she was known best, was a graduate from Pocomoke High School in 1982 in Pocomoke City, Maryland. She furthered her education at the Automation Academy of Baltimore, Maryland. Pinky received her Associates Degree in Business Management.
At the time of her departure, she was employed at Allen Foods as Top Ranking USDA Inspector. She was promoted as CSI- 9. Pinky was an USDA inspector for over twenty years.
Pinky gave her life to Christ at an early young age at Mt. Hope Baptist Church, where she was a member and served on the Junior Choir. When she reached adulthood, she joined St. John's United Methodist Church in Atlantic, Virginia. She served as an Usher and she also sang on the Mass Choir.
She had a deep love for collecting and receiving elephants, drinking ginger ale soda, Popeye's chicken, and going to Fat Daddy's every Saturday and also getting her nails done.
The highlight of her life was supporting and spoiling her grandkids. She attended all their events from her grandson DJ's 3rd grade graduation, middle school promotion ceremony, and her granddaughter Ziy's parades, 8th grade promotion ceremony, and going to high school where she is now entering her Senior year as an honor student.
Everyone knows her two daughters, "Ash" & "Kiki" were her everything and more. When you saw Pinky best believe her girls were not too far behind. If perhaps she would be by herself a follow up question would, "Where ya girls at?" and they would soon pop up together.
She also had a passion for watching CBS News at 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, and sometimes 11:00. She loved shopping online EVERY night, with a package being delivered daily! Pinky kept her oldest brother, Leroy and older sister, Daisy in check, even though she was the baby sister. In the family she will always be known for her famous tuna fish at family functions.
Pinky always made sure to keep her nails, toes, eyebrows and feet done. She had a big passion for decorating. She kept a biweekly ritual of getting her hair done with her girls. She enjoyed her monthly get togethers with her "BUTTERFLY SISTERS" from church. Pinky's contagious laugh and radiant smile will always remain etched in our memory.
She leaves to cherish her memories her 2 daughters, Ashley Harmon and Kiara Townsend; two grandkids, De'Ziyah Scarborough and Deontrae Scarborough, Jr.; one sister, Daisy Handy; one brother, Leroy Marshall; one uncle, James Marshall; three nieces, Marcella (Abe) Drummond, Vanessa Marshall, and Evette Handy; five nephews, George (Michelle) Handy, Reggie Handy, Alfred (Sarah) Marshall, Sr., Deshorn (Melaine) Marshall, and Mark Marshall; special friend, Stanley Johnson; best friend, Joyce Ayres; closest childhood friend, Terri Feddeman; god kids, Shyneika Taylor and Anita Ramos; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death her mother, Beatrice Taylor; father, Edward Taylor; fraternal twin grandkids; husband, Glen Collins, Sr.; sister, Juanita Marshall; brother, Alonzo Holden; nephews, Cassius Nock, Reginald Handy, Jr., and Alfred Marshall, Jr.; and brother-in-law, George Handy, Sr.
