Carol Ann Dubay, 69, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. She died one day before her 70th birthday. She was born March 12, 1955, in Fort Fairfield, Maine and was the loving daughter of the late Lucien and Joan (Cote) Gendreau.
Carol moved to Connecticut as a young child and grew up in Bristol. She graduated from Bristol Central High School in 1973 and in 1978, she moved to Winsted, where she spent the rest of her life.
Carol dedicated and devoted her life to her family who she loved and cherished more than anything. Some of her favorite activities with her family were babysitting her grandchildren, going on lunch and coffee dates, getting her nails done, and listening to her favorite music. She was also a long-time member of St. Joseph's Church in Winsted. She was full of love, laughter, and resilience and made an impact on everyone who knew her.
Carol is survived by two beloved daughters, Christina Crowley and husband Kevin of Winsted and Jennifer Dubay of Milford; cherished grandchildren Juston Borja of Torrington, Hannah Crowley, Dylan Crowley, Kaitlyn Crowley all of Winsted; and Aidan Bunel, who she loved like another grandson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers John and Ronald Gendreau, and a sister, Gail Gendreau.
The family would like to thank the staff at Litchfield Woods and Accent Care Hospice Team for the wonderful care and compassion they showed Carol.
