Carol Fry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Osborne-Williams Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. on Dec. 8, 2025.
Carol Ann Fry went home to be with the Lord Jesus, peacefully with her daughter, Dori by her side, on the early morning of Saturday December 6th 2025.
Carol was born to Helen Whitmore on November 23, 1943.
Carol had her children early on, and committed her life to raising them.
In her early 20s, she met the love of her life, John Fry, and they were married for over 50 years until his passing in June of last year.
Carol loved the simple things in life. She enjoyed browsing around the Good Shepard, in Greenville, picking up trinkets and anything she could find for a bargain. She loved to laugh. She loved movies and stored up a large collection for herself over the years; most of all, she loved her family. She always looked forward to her daily phone calls with her big sister Freda, talking for hours about all their adventures.
Carol enjoyed being a homemaker. She always said her children were her life. Taking care of her family was her greatest joy, and she loved hearing about all her grandchildren and what they were up to.
Carol's strong nature helped her persevere through life's many challenges. A more steadfast individual would be hard to find. Carol's daughter Dori, selflessly cared for her during the last years of her life. They were best friends and got a kick out of each other, "ruffling each other's feathers" as they would call it.
Carol accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior during the last years of her life. We are so grateful to our loving and merciful Father for the unconditional love He pours out, and the sacrifice of the cross, that makes it possible for Carol and all of us, to be with Him in eternity.
Carols final wish was to "Let everyone know how much I loved them.."
So, to anyone reading this, who knew Carol, know that she loved you deeply. No matter who you were or what your relationship was with her, she loved you.
Carol leaves behind her children; John (Jody) Peterson of Hadley; Dori Petravich of Transfer, Vickie Peterson of Greenville; and Rick Davis of Greenville. Her sister, Freda Bresnan, her grandchildren, Cassidy, John, Kayla, Rebecka, Shelbie, Chad, Nicholas, Victoria, Jake, R.J. and Kinsley. Her great-grandchildren, Ashton, Emilee and Kaleb, Axel, Sophie, Laurel and Chance, and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her son Eddie, her husband John, her great-grandson Max, and her parents.
Per Carols wishes, no formal funeral services will be held, but a celebration of life will be at a later date. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Carol Ann Fry, please visit our floral store.
