Carol G. Heldmann

Carol G. Heldmann, of Venice Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday May 8, 2023, at the age of 93 years old. Beloved wife of George Heldmann.
Carol enjoyed family and was active in her girl's life. She was a Girl Scout leader for 10 years in Milford Ct and taught religious education at Saint Agnes in Milford, CT and Our Lady of Victory in West Haven, CT.
Carol was a longtime member of the American Society of Clinical Pathology and resumed her career as a Medical Technologist in 1981 until retiring to Venice Florida in 1989, where she was active with the Women's Auxiliary at the Knights of Columbus and Epiphany Cathedral.
Carol loved to travel visiting family in Ireland and Spain in the 1950's, driving across the United States to visit family in Oklahoma and Colorado and her favorite trip to the Vatican and Italy.
Carol was the daughter of John Neilan Gilmartin and Katherine Daly living her early years in Hamden Connecticut.
Carol is survived by her loving husband George, whom she married at Saint Bridget's Church in West Hartford Connecticut in 1959, her daughters Ann (Jeff) Ormrod of Venice Florida, Elizabeth (Luis) Salinas and Margaret (Jim) Talalas of Branford Connecticut. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, Veronica, Daniel (Heather), Matthew (Abby), Alyssa, Joseph, Timothy (Alison), Robert (Kimmie), Emerie, Abigail and Jason and great-grandchildren London, Austin, Zander, Zachary and Violet. She also leaves her sisters-in-law Janice Gilmartin, Frances Beckerman, Joan Dooley, Judy Heldmann and her brother-in-law James (Karen) Heldmann and many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her, daughter Patricia, her parents, her brother Robert L Gilmartin, sister-in-law Mary Hickey and brothers-in-law Joseph Heldmann and Harold Dooley.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St Peter Claver Church, 47 Pleasant St in West Hartford on Friday May 19, 2023, at 10 am with burial immediately following at Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford Ct
