Carol Ann Johnson, a beacon of warmth and love, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick. Born on August 8, 1958, in Merced, California, raised in Boston, and lived in Perth Amboy, prior to moving to Keansburg in 2017. Carol's journey was one of compassion, dedication, and family. She leaves behind a legacy of care and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Pre-deceased by her parents, Robert and Mae Johnson, and her sister, Monica Boyd, Carol's memory will be honored by her loving family. She is survived by her companion, Pierre Augustine of Boston; her sons and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Kietrice Johnson of Boston, and Desmond Johnson of Keansburg; her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Johnson Harding and Daniel of Keansburg; her brother, Michael Johnson of Boston; her sisters, Marcia Johnson, Donna Johnson, Robin Johnson, and Daphne O'Beid, all of Boston; and her 12 grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Carol's career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bayside Manor Assisted Living was marked by her unwavering commitment to the well-being of others. Her gentle touch and warm smile were a comfort to many during their twilight years.
Beyond her professional life, Carol had an array of interests that brought joy to her and those around her. She found solace in the rhythmic motions of crocheting, creating beautiful pieces for her family and friends. Cooking was another passion of Carol's, and her kitchen was a hub of delicious aromas and shared stories. The simple things in life brought her the most pleasure, and she embraced every moment with grace and gratitude.
Above all, Carol cherished the time spent with her family. Her love for her grandchildren was boundless, and she instilled in them the values of kindness, humility, and the importance of family bonds. The memories they created together will be treasured as precious keepsakes in their hearts.
Carol's life was a testament to the beauty of nurturing relationships and the importance of caring for others. Her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched with the love she shared with her family. The world is a better place because of Carol Ann Johnson, and she will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, November 22nd, at 10:30AM. Fairview Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg.
