Carol Kasapis Obituary

Carol Lynn Kasapis passed away on August 19, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Detroit, she was a longtime resident of Bloomfield Hills. Carol graduated from Cooley High School in 1963, where she met her high school sweetheart, Eugene, at the age of 15. They married in 1966 at St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, beginning a beautiful marriage that would have celebrated 60 years next May.

Carol's life was full of adventure and joy. She loved boating on Lake St. Clair in the 1980s, and in the 1990s, she and Eugene toured the country on their Harley Davidsons. Together they traveled the world, often with close friends, making lifelong memories. She treasured her girls' trips with Dee, Pam, and Cheryl, and always found joy in going to the movies or simply being surrounded by family and friends.

A devoted mother, Carol poured her heart into supporting Kristy and Gene, traveling the country for hockey and figure skating competitions, and later, becoming a constant source of love and support for her grandchildren. She was the steady backbone of her family, especially as Eugene worked tirelessly to build the Ram's Horn chain of restaurants.

Devoted wife of Eugene. Loving mother of Kristy Kasapis Panos (William Panos), and Eugene Kasapis (Christa). Beloved grandmother of Stavros Panos, Eugene Panos, Anna Kasapis and Alexander Kasapis. Preceded in death by her parents, Trevor and Eunice Rollinson and her brother, Jerry Rollinson.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 31, 11:30AM until the Prayer Service at 12:30PM, at A.J. Desmond & Sons (Vasu, Rodgers and Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave., Royal Oak 48073. Luncheon to follow at the funeral home.
