Carol Knittel Obituary
Born in Rahway, Carol was raised in Avenel prior to settling in Carteret 62 years ago. She was employed as an accounts payable clerk with Pathmark until her retirement and was a member of the Carteret Seniors. Carol will be remembered as a funny and kind person who loved and devoted her time to her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed.
Carol was predeceased by her husband in 2010, Arthur Knittel along with her parents, Charles and Mary Podraza. Surviving are her children, Terry Czapik with her husband Joseph and Michael Knittel with his wife Trina; grandchildren, Christopher, Eric, Samantha and Alexander along with two nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will begin with a 10am Catholic prayer service on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading followed by entombment at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia. Relatives and friends may arrive to the funeral home beginning at 9:30am.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
