Of Ross Township, on August 1, 2023 at age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving daughters. Beloved wife of the late Raymond A. Lawniczak. Mother of Elaine and Doug Donnick, Nancy and Len Kulwicki, Cathy and Peter Machi, and Lisa and Greg Wukitch. Grandmother of Alissa (Bill), Jay (Serena), Garrett, Angela (Kendall), Julia, Rebecca, Richard (Jennifer), Jacob (Amanda), Jared, Mitchell, Rachel, Ryan and Joshua and 19 great-grandchildren. Sister of (late) Marilyn Lobert. Godmother of Adam S. Lobert III, Judy Zavatchen, (late) Anna Marie Bigler, Janice Lawniczak and (late) Kenneth Blazer. Carol would like to thank Frank J. Pistella III and his family for all their love and support.
Carol was raised in Bloomfield where she met and married her high school sweetheart Raymond, and they were married over forty years. She was an administrative assistant in healthcare for 20 years and at the age of fifty, she became a Registered Nurse. After retiring from nursing she volunteered many years supporting Catholic parishes. She loved reading, attending church, travel, and classic movies.
Everyone is welcomed to a funeral mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 3058 Brereton St, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 on September 2, 2023 at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Carol's name to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
