Carol M. Leforte, age 83, passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2025, surrounded by family. Carol was born on April 6, 1941 in Mapleton, Ohio, to John Nelson and Elsie Bertha (Weber) Mottice. She was a resident of East Rochester for 47 years.

Carol was a very active member of Faith Fellowship Church in Minerva. She participated in many of the church’s organizations, notably the Secret Sisters.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Leforte; daughter, Dawn Renee Ratliff; six brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish Carol’s memory are her children, Cindy (Donald) Richards of New Milford, Kelly (Dan) Chaffin of Evergreen, Colorado, and James Ratliff of East Rochester; two step-children, Pam (Scott) Kerr of Canton, Cheryl (Tom) Hart of Minerva; five children of the heart, Bre, Scott, Dawn, Mike, Lisa; three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Clapper.

Visitation will be held at Faith Fellowship Church, 22797 Ellsworth Ave, Minerva, OH 44657 on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 11 am-12 pm, followed by a memorial service at noon. A brunch at the church will follow at 1 pm. Carol will be interred at a later date at Mapleton Cemetery.
