Carol Muller Mason (nee Phillips), age 62, of Spring Township passed away at home on November 8, 2024, following a brief battle with cancer.
She was the loving wife of James F. (Jim) Mason whom she married on August 6, 2015.
Born in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late Verlon and Katherine (nee Sweezy) Phillips.
Carol was a graduate of Reading High School and had a long and successful career in marketing, advertising, and media sales. She started and sold two successful businesses. Carol was an enthusiastic and active member of the West Reading-Wyomissing Rotary Club. She exemplified Rotary's principle of Service Above Self by serving as Foundation Director for many years to raise funds to benefit local nonprofits serving the most vulnerable members of the community. Always leading by example, she was a significant contributor to the Paul Harris Fellow Foundation of Rotary International.
Carol was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a loyal friend. She enjoyed traveling all over the world. She was an excellent sailor and with Jim, captained their sailboat, Brizo, on the Chesapeake Bay.
In addition to her husband, Jim, she is survived by two children: Garrett R. (Noemi) Muller, and Delaney M. (Jullienne Munson) Muller; four grandchildren: Dominick, Alyssa, Irie, and Jasper; and one great grandchild, Aria. Carol is further survived by Jim's children, James and Rebecca, as well as her brother Robert "Butch" Phillips.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband James S. Muller on March 14, 2010.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be private. At Carol's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rotary Foundation, https://portal.clubrunner.ca/6818/Donate in support of local needs.
