Robert R Rudy, 68, passed away at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Born in Reading to the late Robert, Sr. and Patricia (Rader) Rudy, Robert served his country proudly in the Marine Corps from 1974 to 1978. For many years following his military service, he worked for Baldwin Hardware as a metal polisher. In more recent years, he was an over-the-road truck driver until his retirement in 2020. He was a Scout Master for Troop 343, a role that he took when his sons were scouts that he continued for years.

Robert is survived by wife, Cinda L. (Diefenderfer) Rudy; sons: Jason A. Rudy of Topton and Jan M. Rudy, husband of Amanda Bonte, of Reading; daughter, Jamie (Rudy) Conde of Reading; grandchildren: Tommie Hampton III, Isiah Rudy, Ibrahim Conde, Emily Rudy and Lily Rudy; sister, Pamela (Rudy) Leed, wife of John, of Reading and Karen (Rudy) Arthur, wife of Leroy, of Temple; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will also be lovingly remembered by Patricia Bender of Walnutport, and her family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Timothy Rudy.

A Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the American Legion Post #899, 1140 Municipal Road, Walnutport, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to Gift of Life Howie's House at giftoflifehowieshouse.org.
