Carol Ann McCubbin

Carol Ann (Glavin) McCubbin, age 86, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Naperville, Illinois. She was born on February 12, 1939, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Later her family moved to Rochelle, Illinois, where she graduated from High School in 1956. In August 1963, Carol married Terry McCubbin, and he became a new daddy for her daughter, Toni. They soon welcomed a son, Patrick in 1964.
Carol and Terry lived in several states, including New York, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Indiana, and Missouri. They settled in Wheaton, Illinois, where they raised their family. They later made their home in Cress Creek in Naperville, Illinois.
Carol was a loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was affectionately known as "Grandy" by her grandchildren. She was a dedicated homemaker and devoted her life to caring for her family. Carol enjoyed many lifelong friendships built through her Newcomers Club and volunteer work at Metropolitan Family Services. Carol loved playing bridge with "the ladies" well into her 80's. She enjoyed travel and visited Ireland on their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Carol was an avid Chicago Bears fan, cheering them on faithfully through the years.
Carol is survived by her husband, Terry McCubbin; her daughter, Toni Henricks, (son-in-law Bill Henricks), her son, Patrick McCubbin, (daughter-in-law Shawn McCubbin), Grandchildren, Kasha Henricks, Chase Henricks (wife Becca Henricks), Shannon McCubbin, and Jake McCubbin, Great Grand Sons, Archer and Oliver Henricks. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Glavin, (and his wife, Nancy Glavin).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Glavin and Catherine (Hriniak) Glavin, and her first husband, Archie Woodworth.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St. Naperville, IL 60540. A service celebrating Carol's life will follow at 6:00 PM.
