Carol’s valiant two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer has come to a close. Throughout her journey, she remained resilient, bolstered by unwavering faith and hope. Carol now rests peacefully with God and those who have passed before her.
Carol held a variety of jobs. She especially enjoyed jobs working in the services of helping others, including Our Lady of the Wayside, Good Samaritan Nursing Home, and Lorain Human Services.
Carol was proceeded in death by two infant sons, Eric and Benjamin Cogar; father Walter John Mintus, and mother Jeanette Ann Mintus.
Carol is survived by two daughters, Clairessa Cogar (Mark Rozmarynowycz) and Bridget Cogar Broaddus (David Broaddus); grandson Brenden Giuglea the light of her life; sister Constance Petersen (nee Golinski) and two brothers Gary(Patricia Muzika) Golinski and Walter Mintus; plus many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Reverend Father Charles T. Diedrick of Elyria St. Mary's will lead a small private family memorial service.
