Carol Jean (Swiattouski) Moynihan died August 23, 2024, after a short illness. She was born November 19, 1942, in Springfield, MA to parents John and Emelda Swiattouski and attended local schools. Carol was blessed with a pretty countenance and modeled professionally as a young woman. She met her future husband Ernest L. Moynihan modeling as he was one of her photographers. They were married June 17, 1961.
Her working history included executive secretarial and administrative duties at Schaeffer-Eaton and Blantyre Castle. She also worked as a teacher's aide in the Pittsfield, MA school system. She truly loved her students.
In addition, Carol was an accomplished artist and left a great body of paintings and other artwork behind. She exhibited in many venues including the Berkshire Medical Center. Carol also had great talent in decorating her home and helping others to do the same. She was a creative and talented woman, family focused and heavily involved in raising her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Ernie of 58 years, her daughter Heather Lee Brennan and her brother and sister-in-law John and Ann Swiattouski.
Carol was proud of her Polish heritage and held strong opinions on many issues. She is survived by three grandchildren, Conner J. Brennan, Brianna Jean Brennan, and Matthew E. Brennan, as well as several nieces and nephews. Carol also leaves behind a large group of cherished friends. We will all miss her light and her laughter.
