Carol J. Oie, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 71 years old.Born on December 17, 1953, in Rockford, Illinois, Carol was the cherished daughter of Merlyn L. Dixon and Merle I. (née Wonderlin) Dixon. She grew up in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where she graduated from Waukesha High School before attending MATC.Carol met the love of her life, Mahlon Oie, and they were married on July 17, 1973. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their four children with love, laughter, and warmth. She was a devoted and selfless mother to Laura (the late Rick) Barndt, Dana Oie, Megan Hollis, and Andrea Oie.Carol found joy in life's simple pleasures-bowling, mini-golf, trips to the Wisconsin Dells, and playing cards and board games with family and friends. Her laughter was contagious, often bringing tears of joy to those around her. She was known for her boundless kindness, her giving spirit, and the way she made everyone feel special and loved.
She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Tearria Hollis, Melina Hollis, and Christian Oie-Radosevich, Mia Oie- Chavez and a doting great-grandmother to Aliyana Rose Hollis-Garcia. Carol's family meant everything to her, and she treasured every moment spent with them.She is also survived by her loving sisters, Jeannie, Lucy, and Charlotte, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.Carol is reunited in eternal peace with her parents, Merlyn and Merle Dixon; her beloved grandmother, Gretta; her dear sister, Kathy; and her son-in-law, Rick.
Her love, laughter, and kindness will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to a charity of your choice in Carol's name.
