Carol Pajewski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Melby Funeral Home & Crematory on Jan. 22, 2025.
Carol Catherine Pajewski, 88, of Platteville, formerly of Milwaukee, died on Saturday, January 18, 2025. A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date. The Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, is assisting the family. Online condolences can be made at www.melbyfh.com.
Carol was born on November 19, 1936, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Michael Frank and Bertha Anastasia (Lazarski) Nowicki. She was married to James Pajewski on February 8, 1958, in Milwaukee. Carol attended Alverno College and worked as a computer operator for the 440th Air Force Reserve for many years. She enjoyed cooking big family meals including czarnina on holidays, and her grandchildren say she made the world's best potato salad. Her family carries on traditions that Carol loved including walking on the beach in Milwaukee collecting 'beach glass,' attending the State Fair, collecting Christmas ornaments and decorating the Christmas tree. Her greatest love and joy was her family, especially family picnics with her daughter Jean, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carol is survived by three children, Rick Pajewski, Jean Zawacki and Don (Paula) Pajewski; seven grandchildren, Ricky (Rose) Pajewski, Danielle (Kyle) Kuffel, Tyler (Yaz) Zawacki, Jessica Zawacki, Anastasia Pajewski, Sophia Pajewski and Maryna Pajewski; great-grandchildren, Keira, McKenna, Nicolas, Josai, Isai, Nalani, Dominic, Liam and Owen. Many nieces and nephews will also remember "Auntie Carol." Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Marcella, Elizabeth "Betty", Florence and Dolores, and Grandma Carol joins her great-granddaughter Angelita in heaven.
