Gephart Funeral Home - Bay CityCarol passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Mclaren Bay Region at the age of 69. She was born to the late William and Bernice (Stanley) Dubay on December 20, 1955 in Standish, Michigan. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish for many years. She enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially camping, hunting and fishing. She liked playing cards and games with her family.
When the kids were younger, Carol stayed home to raise them, she loved spending as much time with them as she could, especially now with her grandchildren. She loved baking, cooking crocheting and making crafts to giveaway around the holidays. She truly enjoyed the simple things in life.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Pawlak, whom she married on May 15, 1976 and they spent over 49 wonderful years together. She is also survived by her children, Maria (Daryl) Cater, Jason Pawlak (Jaime Charkowske), Scott (Carolyn) Pawlak, Benjamin Pawlak and Randy Pawlak; grandchildren, Darren, Katherine, Maggie, Alyson, Wesley, Vinny, Mira, Boston, Zach, Amber, Eva, Mia, Angel, Piper and Mavrick; great granddaughter, Olivia; brothers, William (Mary) Dubey, LeRoy (Susan) Dubey and Albert (Janeen) Dubey; sisters, Madonna Lawrence and Yvonne View and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Cheryl Stagray and brothers, George Dubey and Benjamin Dubey.
Memorial Mass for Carol will take place on Thursday, November 13th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Of Peace Parish. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Nate Harburg. The family will be present to receive visitors at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s name to the American Cancer Society.
