Mrs. Theresa A. Klinski, age 81, passed away early Saturday morning with family by her side on October 25, 2025 at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Carrie (Przygocki) Stachowski, born on November 16, 1943 in Bay City. Theresa was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and a member and Eucharistic minister at the former Visitation Catholic Church.
She worked at Prestolite Corp. for 10 years and went on to retire from Bangor Twp. Administration Offices in 2005 after 30 years of service. During elections, Theresa took great pride in her role as a precinct worker. She also enjoyed traveling, visiting casinos, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.
On October 9, 1965 Theresa married James F. Klinski at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church and sadly he preceded her in death on December 21, 2020. She is survived by their daughter, Kathleen Nephew-Gilbert (Dwayne Gilbert) and two sons, Alan (Melissa) Klinski and Kevin (Wendy) Klinski.
Theresa was blessed with six grandchildren: Jacob (Britney) Nephew, Nathan Nephew (fiancé, Allison Vlk), Harrison Klinski (fiancé, Allie Greenburg), Camden Klinski, Marissa Klinski (partner, Morgan Jacobs), and Tristan Klinski (fiancé, Payton Wheeler) and two great grandchildren, Briar and Beau Nephew.
Theresa is also survived by a sister, Janet Klinski; four sisters-in-law, Bernadine Soper, Marie (Dennis) Shorkey, Rose (John) Hodgson and Theresa (Jeff) Smith; a brother-in-law, Ervin Klinski; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Theresa was also predeceased by a niece, Jacqueline Klinski; two brothers-in-law, Chester and Michael Klinski; and her in-laws, Florian and Dorothy (Rytlewski) Klinski.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Bayfield Assisted Living for all they have done for Theresa, providing the utmost care and friendship. The family would also like to send a special thank you to friends, family, and caregivers who often went above and beyond to lift up Theresa's spirits over the years. Everything you did for her will never be forgotten.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Our Lady of Peace Parish – St. Mary's Church with Rev. Dale Orlik presiding. Private interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery. Visiting hours will be at Trahan Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a Vigil Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. Theresa will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. The family suggests donations in Theresa's memory to the American Heart Association.
